This is an archival pigment print on a beautiful metallic cotton rag paper. Limited edition and signed. It is framed in a 2cm wide, 3cm deep, black wood frame with natural white matte. The frame is 47.5x38cm, the image is 30x22.5cm.
This image is of Santiago Calatrava's Oculus in Lower Manhattan, it is the concourse for the Path Train and many other Subway lines. It is magnificent. I have used the contact sheet process here to maximise the action in the foreground as the space fills and empties rapidly during the morning rush hour.
The contact sheet traditionally was how we delivered our images for client selection when I first started in photography; the thing itself is very attractive to me and allows for many narrative and compositional possiblilties, I was a winner of the International Photography Award Film and Analogue Catagory in 2019 for this contact sheet body of work.
