This photograph taken from the top-deck front window of the Hong Kong Tram during a heavy rain storm.
Hong Kong experiences dramatic tropical rain. We even have names for it, amber, red, and black rain, depending on how heavily it is expected to fall. Our sports pitches sit on top of huge tanks designed to capture flood water. Rain is serious; it is also transformative as it cascades down the glass of my favourite tram window. Rain allows me to view the city through the abstraction of a beautiful waterfall.
This is an archival pigment print, face-mounted to acrylic, floating in a 6mm wide, 29mm deep white maple wood frame.
