This image is Santiago Calatrava's Oculus in Lower Manhattan, it is the concourse for the Path Train and many other Subway lines. It is magnificent. I have used the contact sheet process here to maximise the action in the foreground as the space fills and empties rapidly during the morning rush hour.
The contact sheet traditionally was how we delivered our images for client selection when I first started in photography; the thing itself is very attractive to me and allows for many narrative and compositional possiblilties, I was a winner of the International Photography Award Film and Analogue Catagory in 2019 for this contact sheet body of work.
This is an archival pigment print face-mounted to acrylic, with dibond backboard, framed in 6mm wide 29mm deep black oak frame.
