Cities are founded on their relationship with water. It is the essential element of every city worldwide. Whilst it creates it is also an agent of entropy. Hong Kong's typhoon shelters embody this concept perfectly and they have provided a wealth of images. London, New York, and Dubai are also represented.
There is no photoshop trickery here, just straight photographs taken with my large format camera and very long, telephoto lenses. Often I shoot at night when colour and contrast is at its most extreme. The rhythms of wind, tide and weather also have their say.
