Some images take pre-visualisation and planning which is how I work most of the time; here I was simply a witness, in the right place at the right moment. The Old Bank of China is illuminated by afternoon sunlight bouncing off its neighbour the Cheung Kong Centre; the sun also highlights and silhouettes the lone man walking. This calls to mind a favourite Rene Burri image of men walking on a rooftop in Sao Paulo and closer to home the great contrasts found in those works of Ho Fan.
This is an archival pigment print on a beautiful lustre paper. Limited edition, signed and numbered on the back of the print. It is shipped in a tube.
